Conclusion

I hope this guide has everything that you need to know when you ask yourself the question that ‘what is a good telescope to see planets?’ I have listed down all the telescopes that have impressed our team fully. We will sure also answer the question ‘what is the a great astrophotography camera?’.

With Christmas just around the corner, telescopes make for amazing gifts for children and for adults alike. Human beings have been fascinated by the planetary system since the start of time and rightly so.

Gazing into the vast universe gives us a new perspective on life and we learn to appreciate the beauty of this universe fully.

Taking care of telescopes

With time telescopes will accumulate dust and grime especially if it is a portable telescope. Moving them around from one place to the next can also cause the mirrors to lose their alignment. So they will need to be realigned with time.

A lot of people mistake telescope lenses for regular pieces of glass but such is not the case. They are very delicate instruments that should only be cleaned once or maybe twice a year to prevent them from scratches or cracking.

For cleaning purposes what we recommend is that you use a camel hair brush to loosen any dust particles that might be lodged in the lens. Blowing compressed air can also help loosen it.

If you try to wipe off a dust particle using a cloth this can scratch the lens too. So use an optical lens cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth to clean the lens but this should be done in small sections at a time.

Telescopes should be kept in a dry environment to prevent any moisture from entering the lens and damaging it. An easy way to keep it dry involved using a dew shield in high moisture areas.
